PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent crosstalk and cross-erasure between adjacent tracks by a light spot when recording data to a wobbled record track. SOLUTION: A push-pull error signal extracted from servo signals obtained in a matrix circuit 12 is input to a wobble detecting circuit 13 when recording data and a target power value to control laser power is generated by a generating circuit 17 of a record compensation value based on this push-pull error signal. Then a laser diode(LD) 6 is controlled with this target power value, and thereby the target value of the record power is dropped and light beam power is reduced in an area that a data recording area is narrowed by a wobble shape. On the other hand the target value of the record power is increased and then the light beam power is enlarged in an area that the data recording area is widened by the wobble shape. |
