PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film for the lead wire of a battery and a packaging material for a battery using the film for the lead wire, capable of stably sealing, when a battery body is inserted into an outer case, having polypropylene base resin as a heat sealing layer and the peripheral part of the outer case is sealed by heat sealing, in the packaging of the battery without causing short circuiting of the barrier layer of the outer case with the lead wire caused by the heat and pressure of the heat sealing. SOLUTION: A lead wire body 4, made of a slender plate-shaped or a rod- shaped metal, is interposed between peripheral seal parts of the outer case, comprising a stacked body 10 having a heat-sealing property on the inner surface, and the peripheral part of the outer case is sealed. A film 20 interposed between the stacked body 10 and the lead wire body 4 is a multiple-layer sealant containing a high fluidity acid-modified polypropylene layer 21 which is easily crushable by the heat and pressure of the heat sealing, and the high fluidity acid-modified polypropylene layer is arranged on the lead wire side.
