<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decision method and equipment of a battery life which decides the battery life of a UPS system accurately. SOLUTION: A small capacity battery 5 for life time decision is installed in advance under the identical environment with the battery 4 for power supply by the same method as the battery 4 for power supply. Normally the battery 5 for life time decision is charged and discharged simultaneously with the battery 4 for power supply. In the power failure the battery 5 for lifetime decision starts to discharge simultaneously with the battery 4 for power supply and continues discharging until the discharge voltage becomes equal to the predetermined threshold voltage even when the power failure is recovered and the recharging of the battery 4 for power supply is started. A logic part 6 measures the discharge time from the discharge starting time to the time when the discharge voltage becomes equal to the predetermined threshold voltage. A lifetime decision part 7 decides that the battery for power supply comes to the exchange time when the discharge time is shorter than the predetermined threshold discharge time.</p> |
