The table assembly (1) may be fastened to scaffolding on a building site. It has two table-tops which may be fastened together by hinges at one end so that they may be opened out end-to-end. They may then be clamped to a horizontal scaffolding pole. The flanges are situated on the side facing away from the floor of the scaffolding platform. There is a carrying handle (18) on the outward-facing surface of one flange.
