The invention relates to an injection unit for an injection molding machine, especially for plastics, comprising a screw that is connected to a first actuator provided for turning and to a second actuator provided for effecting an axial movement. The first actuator (21) is an electric motor, and the second actuator (31) is a pressure bellows that can be filled with a gas by means of a filling device (51), whereby the volume of the pressure bellows (31) can be altered by adjusting elements (32).
