A board (10), made of esp. a hard fibrous material, has one or more grooves (40, 48) at or close to an axis of rotation (51) enabling the board to be folded by rotation about the axis. The groove is, at least in part, provided with an adhesive (46) which permits one of the sections of the board to rotate. Also claimed are a process and an appts. for making the board in which two consecutive work-stations are provided to accept, hold, guide, and transport the boards, each has a milling device to form the upper and lower grooves and the appts. has a device for applying the adhesive.
