PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time up to the start of recording and to reduce a circuit scale of the whole recording device. SOLUTION: Image data corresponding to each record head is transmitted to the recording device for recording on record media by four record heads 308 corresponding to CMYK inks from host equipment every one line. A data controller 304 of the recording device directly transmits the received image data by one line to the each record head 308. When the image data by one line is transmitted to the each four record heads, a head drive circuit 307 selectively drives each record element and conducts recording.
