PURPOSE: A color filter for a semi-transmission type liquid crystal display device is provided to locate boundaries in semi-transmission type color filters to the inside or the outside of the boundaries of semi-transmission parts of a lower substrate by a predetermined interval corresponding to a joining margin, thereby keeping the area% of the transmission type color filters in the reflection parts or the reflection type color filters in the transmission parts uniformly in spite of the mis-alignment between the upper and lower substrates. CONSTITUTION: A color filter for a semi-transmission type liquid crystal display device includes first and second substrates separated from each other and facing to each other, a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first and second substrates, pixel electrodes formed on an inner surface of the first substrate and having first boundary lines(V) between reflection parts and transmission parts, semi-transmission type color filters(100) formed on an inner surface of the second substrate and having second boundary lines(IV) moved from the first boundary line of the pixel electrodes by a predetermined interval, transmissivity of reflection type color filters(100a) positioned in the reflection parts being higher than the transmissivity of transmission type color filters(100b) positioned in the transmission parts per pixel, and common electrodes formed below the semi-transmission type color filters.
