PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance convenience by notifying a user easily and surely that the residual quantity of print sheets has reached a specified level. SOLUTION: Image information to be printed is received and color information is read out therefrom and then informed to a recording section (steps SA1-SA4). Residual quantity of print sheets is then determined (steps SA5, SA6) and in case of near end, print color information for small residual quantity of print sheets is read out from image information data (step SA7) and set as a print color (step SA8) before being informed to the recording section (step SA9). Near end of print sheets can be informed to a user on the receiving side while waiting upon convenience on the counterpart side by outputting with a print color specified from the counterpart side in case of near end. |
