PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized camera. SOLUTION: This camera is equipped with a photographic zoom lens 11a as a photographic lens, and also equipped with an EVF unit 51 as an electronic view finder. A cylindrical long lengthwise capacitor 28 constituting a flash light emitting device and charged with power for emitting flash light by discharge power is arranged on the side of a zoom lens barrel 11 in parallel with the unit 51 in a direction whore the longitudinal direction of the capacitor 28 is parallel with the optical axis of the lens 11a.
