PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately detect at high speed two-dimensional feeble radiation. SOLUTION: A feeble light detector 40 irradiates a DNA chip 46 with a laser beam 50 by a laser irradiation unit 42 to make the DNA chip 46 emit fluorescence. The fluorescence from the DNA chip 46 enters a detecting part 56 of a detection unit 52. The detecting part 56 has a detection module with a plurality of detection transistors arranged corresponding to cells of the DNA chip 46. The detecting part 56 photoelectrically converts the entering fluorescence (photons) to emit electrons, amplifies and brings the electrons to the detection module. The detection transistors are switched to operate on the basis of an Hadamard matrix. A data processing unit 54 executes an Hadamard inverse transform when reading an output signal of the detecting part 56 and specifies the detection transistor which outputs the signal.
