PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic member, a joined body and a container for a vacuum switch which stably ensure high joining strength. SOLUTION: A joined body 7 is formed by joining an alumina-base ceramic member 1 and a metallic member 3 made of kovar with a brazing filler metal 5 made of silver brazing. The ceramic member 1 is obtained by forming a molybdenum-base metallized layer 11 on a ceramic substrate 9 which is a sintered compact made of alumina, and a plating layer 13 consisting of Ni is formed on the metallizing layer 11. The ceramic member 1 and the metallic member 3 are joined and integrated by joining the plating layer 13 and the metallic member 3 with the brazing filler metal 5.
