PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the increase of the resistance value at a conducting part when wirings formed on respective substrates are vertically conducted. SOLUTION: A draw-around wiring 16 is formed on an element substrate 10. A counter substrate 20 is covered by an over coating layer 25 and a scanning line 26 is formed on the surface of the over coating layer 25. The draw-around wiring 16 and the scanning line 26 are conducted to each other via conducting particles 32 dispersed in a sealing material 30. The surface of the area coming in contact with the conducting particles 32 of the over coating layer 25 is made to be a coarse surface having a large number of fine crest parts and trough parts.
