PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make full use of a conventional low cost and small space temperature fuse as the surest means in an instant shut off action in abnormal rise of temperature by keeping down transmission of heat from a heater to the temperature fuse even when the acting temperature of the temperature fuse and the maximum temperature for the heater are close due to the fixing temperature becoming high because of speeding up of a printer. SOLUTION: In the device, when the acting temperature of the temperature fuse is in the vicinity of the maximum temperature within a paper passing range of the heater, members of low heat conductivity is provided in a part of the temperature fuse where the temperature sensor member is positioned and members of high heat conductivity is provided in the other parts.
