PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regular size sheet holder capable of easily positioning several kinds of regular size original sheets on the platen surface of an original platen in an image reader where an original reading area is limited to a part of the original platen. SOLUTION: One film holder 50 is made usable at least in two ways by arranging 1st positioning parts 58 and 62 and 2nd positioning parts 52 and 68 coming into contact with an original guide 16 in diagonal positions on a sheet-like member, and positioning transparent original sheets having mutually different shapes by taking respective positioning parts as a reference. That is, as for the 1st positioning parts 58 and 62 and the 2nd positioning parts 52 and 68, opening parts 54 and 64 positioned in a reading area 19 when the positioning parts are brought into contact with the original guide 16 and a holding part for holding a strip film or a mount film in the opening parts 54 and 64 are arranged, and the shape of the opening part 54 is made to differ from that of the opening part 64.
