Disclosed is a device for damping rotations between a stator (3) that is arranged in a housing (2) and a rotor (4), especially for an arrangement between a tripod and a camera or the like. The stator (3) and the rotor (4) are configured such that said stator and rotor can be coaxially displaced in relation to one another in such a way that the rotor (4) can be inserted into the stator (3) by means of an adjusting device (10). Damping of the rotation can be varied by means of the depth of immersion of the rotor (4) into the stator (3). A fluid for transmitting shearing forces between the stator (3) and the rotor (4) is provided in the housing (2). The rotor (4) engages with a rotatable housing component (14) by means of a thread (13) of the adjusting device (10) for axial adjustments. |
