<p>The circuit consists of an ignition element (Z) for a safety belt and a belt operation sensor (S) which can be connected via a common cable pair (L1,L2) to a control unit (SE) that diagnoses the ignition element and evaluates the belt operation sensor. The ignition element, the belt operation sensor and a first high impedance resistor are connected in parallel. The parallel circuit is connected in series with a low impedance resistor.
