PURPOSE: An apparatus for driving a plasma display panel is provided to minimize the number of driving circuits by improving a structure of a driving apparatus of the plasma display panel. CONSTITUTION: An inductor(L) and a diode(D) are installed between a sustain voltage source(Vs) and a common sustain electrode line(Z). A capacitor(C) is installed between the first node point(N1) and a ground voltage source(GND). A switching device(T) is installed between the inductor(L) and the ground voltage source(GND). A control signal(S) is applied to the switching device(T). The control signal is a pulse signal having a predetermined period. The switching device(T) is turned off while the control signal(S) is in a low state. A voltage of the sustain voltage source(Vs) is applied to the first node(N1) through the inductor(L) and the diode(D) when the switching device(T) is turned off. The voltage is applied to the common sustain electrode line(Z) through the first node(N1). The switching device(T) is turned on when the control signal(S) of a high state is applied to the switching device(T). |
