PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking support device which can precisely guide drive operation in parking without imposing a big burden to a driver. SOLUTION: A controller 1 comprises a CPU 7, a rewritable EEPROM 8 for storing vehicle characteristic data, and a control ROM 9 which stores a control program for performing parking support at parallel parking and tandem parking based on the minimum turn radius Rc of the vehicle characteristic data stored in the EEPROM 8. The CPU 7 operates based on the control program stored in the control ROM 9. The controller 1 computes the vehicular yaw rate from the vehicular angular velocity inputted from a yaw rate sensor 2, and also computes the vehicular turn angle, and then outputs information concerning an operation method and operation timing in each step of the parallel and tandem parking driving to the speaker 6, thereby executing a proper parking support to a driver. |
