To give equal torque division between parallel similar sun-planet-internal ring gear trains 12, 9, 2 and 14, 10, 3 whose ring gears 2, 3 are formed on a common support member 20 clamped to the gear casing, and having a common planet carrier 8 or their planet carriers secured together, the sun gears 12, 14 are rigidly mounted on the ends of concentric shafts 13, 15 which are both secured at their other ends to a sleeve 16, the shafts having substantially the same torsional rigidity. The trains have single helical toothed gearing of opposite hand from one another. |
