PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and structurally simple balloon catheter for the main artery equipped with an intermediate member. SOLUTION: The balloon catheter is composed of a catheter 2, the balloon film 4 bonded to the catheter 2 to constitute a balloon 3, the central tube 15 enveloped in the catheter 2 and the balloon film 4 and the intermediate member 6 inserted into the bonded part of the balloon film 4 and the catheter 2 and having a gas through hole 14 connecting the catheter 2 and the central tube 5 to supply gas into the balloon 3. The recess part 16 fitted in the central tube 5 is provided to the outer peripheral surface of the intermediate member 6 to fix the central tube 5 to the intermediate member 6. |
