PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extension tube whose length is adjustable with one-touch operation for a vacuum cleaner and the vacuum cleaner using it. SOLUTION: In the extension tube for the vacuum cleaner consisting of an inner pipe 3 sliding in a large-diameter outer tube 1 and the outer tube 1, a driving source 9 is provided for sliding the inner pipe 3 in the outer pipe 1 to expand or reduce the extension tube for the vacuum cleaner by driving the driving source adjust the length of the tube with one-touch operation.
