PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the clogging of a filter membrane (reverse osmosis membrane), to reduce the frequency of replacement work for a simple filter remarkably and to prevent the unnecessary lowering of pH. SOLUTION: This relay apparatus for fresh water generator has an original water suction pump 11, 1st stage filters 14a and 14b connected in parallel to each other in the downstream side from the original water suction pump 11, a 1st stage supply direction control part 15 for controlling the supply direction of an original water to the 1st stage filters 14a and 14b, 2nd stage filters 16a and 16b connected to each other in parallel in the down stream side from the 1st stage filters 14a and 14b, a 2nd stage supply direction control part 17 for controlling the supply direction of the original water to the 2nd stage filters 16a and 16b and a pH control part 18 arranged in the downstream side from the 2nd stage filters 16a and 16b, for increasing the pH and supplying to an intermediate water tank 19.
