<p>The surface is coated first with at least two layers of elastic material such as neoprene cement or natural rubber dissolved in solvents, and then with a layer of polyester resin, reinforced with fibrous material. The surface treatment provides improved chemical and weather resistance also thermal insulation together with more rapid and simpler application. The polyester resin mixed with fibrous material and a suitable catalyst may be applied by means of a roller or a spray gun. If desired a final coating of resin alone may be applied. Colour may also be incorporated. Pref. the surface is rolled before hardening to eliminate air bubbles.</p> |
