METHOD OF MAKING NANOSIZE LIPID VESICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nanosize lipid vesicle which is useful as a drug carrier of DDS and permit inclusion of material at a high comprehension rate into the vesicle and a method of making for the same. SOLUTION: A sorbitan ester is compounded as a primary emulsifier into a treating liquid 2 containing the cholesterol and lecithin put into an inner vessel 1 and water 3 is added thereto to effect primary emulsification under irradiation with ultrasonic waves. A solvent is distilled away from the treating liquid 2 and the ethylene oxide adduct of the sorbitan ester is compounded as a secondary emulsifier therewith to effect secondary emulsification, by which the lipid vesicle is made.
