PURPOSE: A unit pixel for a CFA(Color Filter Array) and an interpolation method of an image sensor using the unit pixel are provided to enhance a sensitivity of a green unit pixel by increasing the size of photodiode of the greed unit pixel. CONSTITUTION: A unit pixel of an image sensor has an area of X'xY'. The unit pixel comprises a pixel(G) of the first color having the first area, and pixels(B,R) of the second and third colors having the second area. At this time, the first color is green, and the second and third colors are red and blue, respectively. That is, the green color pixel(G) is double the size of the blue color pixel(B) or the red color pixel(R).
