<p>According to an information recording method, before starting data recording, light of a predetermined light intensity is applied to a recording medium and a reflected light from a recording mark area of the recording medium is received, so that the reflected light intensity is measured and a light intensity control reference value is calculated according to the measured light intensity. When recording data, the reflected light from the recording mark area of the recording medium is received to measured a reflected light intensity and a light intensity control determination value is calculated according to the measured light intensity. The difference between the light intensity control reference value and the light intensity control determined value is calculated to determine a corrected light intensity. The light intensity control reference value is corrected according to the correction light intensity. The power of a laser beam is controlled so that the light intensity control reference value which has been corrected substantially agrees with the light intensity control determination value.</p> |
