The invention provides a method for coating a substrate for living body tissue with a calcium phosphate compound, which does not cause damage to the substrate (particularly when the substrate is a living body tissue) and can form a uniform coating film extremely soft even to the living tissues other than the coated one, namely, a method of coating a substrate for living body tissue with a calcium phosphate compound by alternate dipping, characterized by using as the dipping fluids both a solution containing a water−soluble calcium salt and a borate salt and/or L−histidine and a solution of a phosphoric salt.
