An electrical assembly which can be operated in a mobile telephone apparatus (1) is described, said apparatus being composed of a mass memory unit (8) of the hard disk drive (HDD) type and power supply means (7) able to power the memory unit (8) and circuitry (5) associated with the apparatus (1). The memory unit (8) can be accessed for the data read/write functions also independently of the circuitry (5) of the apparatus (1).
