The profile is of round or sawn timber. It is bent from a timber panel, with curves extending along one or more axis, and the projection of the axis on the panel coinciding mainly with the timber fibers. The panel is formed from parallel round or sawn timbers, e.g. boards or constructional timbers connected along board or narrow sides. After bending, the profile is covered on both sides by a laminate or technical textile. The timbers in the panel are impregnated before/after shaping, with fungicides and/or wire-proofing materials and/or resins.
