PURPOSE: A method and a device for selecting audio information of a digital broadcast receiver are provided to easily set up multi-language or analog audio item of a digital channel by using a direction key, thereby reducing manufacturing costs and providing the convenience to users. CONSTITUTION: A method for selecting audio information of a digital broadcast receiver includes the steps of constructing database with audio information provided from the outside, changing a channel into the channel requested by a user using a channel change key signal when the user inputs the channel change key signal(S1-S4), receiving information with regard to the current channel from the database and displaying a channel banner when the user inputs the channel change key signal(S5-S6), displaying valid audio information in order according to a direction key signal input by the user in state of displaying the channel banner and setting up one audio information requested by the user as audio information to be served(S7-S10).
