PURPOSE: A recording medium having site connection information and a product number, and a method for managing a web site using the same are provided to connect a specific site through a reproduction of a recording medium such as a CD. CONSTITUTION: A product buyer drives a recording medium including in a product number and an address of a portal site in a client system which is connected to the Internet, receives a product number from an Internet connection unit in the recording medium, performs a log-in process in the portal site, and supplies a service to a member. A member information input unit is included in the Internet connection unit of the recording medium. Thus, when the product number and the member information are inputted together in an initial connection, the inputted member information is stored in a member information-managing server. If only member information is inputted in an initial connection, a member information input window is transmitted to the client system, and makes the member information input window be displayed on a client display device and member information inputted from the client system is stored in the member information managing server. As described above, if member information is inputted and stored in the portal site, the member obtains a service in the portal site in accordance with information pre-set in the product number.
