PURPOSE: A cooling control method for compensating set temperature by recalculating the required amount of water cooling is provided which controls coiling temperature by compensating difference between a target temperature and actually measured temperatures to more accurately control coiling temperature of a hot rolled strip. CONSTITUTION: In a method for controlling final coiling temperature of a hot rolled strip by water cooling in a hot rolling facility in which a finishing rolling machine, a run out table and a coiler are arranged in order, the cooling control method for compensating set temperature by recalculating the required amount of water cooling comprises the steps of water cooling the hot rolled strip by calculating the required amount of water cooling using thickness, width and speed of the strip, actually measured cooling inlet temperature, target coiling temperature and learning parameters, thereby determining number of water pouring banks; finishing rolling by coiling the strip if temperature difference is ±20 deg.C or less by calculating difference between actually measured coiling temperatures of the water cooled strip and a target coiling temperature; finishing rolling by coiling the strip water cooled again after water cooling the strip again by feedback banks if temperature difference exceeds ±20 deg.C by calculating difference between actually measured coiling temperatures of the water cooled strip and a target coiling temperature; and finishing rolling by coiling the water cooled strip after determining the number of water pouring banks again by recalculating the required amount of water cooling, and water cooling the strip if temperature difference is less than -20 deg.C by calculating difference between actually measured coiling temperatures of the water cooled strip and a target coiling temperature.
