METHOD OF FORMING COATING LAYER OF SKIRT PORTION OF PISTON AND COATING LAYER MAGNETIZATION DEVICE

PURPOSE: A method of forming a coating layer of a skirt portion of a piston and a coating layer magnetization device are provided to improve abrasion resistance and surface roughness of a coating layer of a skirt portion of a piston. CONSTITUTION: A method of forming a coating layer of a skirt portion of a piston comprises steps of coating the surface of a skirt portion(21) of a piston with complex polymer-coating liquid; stabilizing the coated skirt portion of the piston at normal temperature and magnetizing abradable materials(23) included in a coating layer(22) coated on the skirt portion and then arranging parallel with the coated surface; and drying and hardening the magnetized skirt portion of the piston in a high temperature drying furnace. Therefore, the abrasion resistance and surface roughness of a coating layer of the skirt portion of the piston are improved.
