The invention relates to an electromotor with repulsion, where the switching is made inside a hermetic or sealed enclosure. According to the invention, the electromotor has two commutators (k and k') shifted with a pole pitch, connected in parallel, from an electrical point of view and located inside a box (c) made of insulating material. The connections from the rotor winding towards the two commutators (k and k') cross the walls of the box (c). The box (c) may contain gas mixtures with or without oxygen, under negative or positive pressure, for a better switching . The switching at each commutator (k and k') and the connection between the commutators (k and k') is made inside the box (c) by a liquid brush (L): electrolyte, melted salt, suspension in a liquid of conductive particles, liquid metal such as mercury. Among other advantages, the electromotor has the advantage of being capable of functioning in an aggressive or explosion prone environment.
