The invention relates to a freight waggon especially for the transportation of bulk material on railways, provided with a running gear (2), an undercarriage (3), whereto there is secured a box-shaped structure (5) made of a frame including frontal walls (6), lateral posts (7) and upper longitudinal beam girders (8) connecting them. The frontal walls (6) are closed and one or both side walls are provided with an opening which may by closed, meant for loading and/or unloading. In order to improve such a freight waggon, so as to achieve at option the loading and unloading from above and laterally, over the entire length of said side wall of the waggon, said freight waggon being provided with at least two corresponding folding doors (10, 11, 12, 13, 32, 33, 34, and 35) which open from one end to the other, one of which namely the folding door arranged in the lower half area of the side wall is pivotable about a lower pivot axle (14) and the other folding door, arranged in the upper half of said wall area, in the same vertical plane, is pivotable about an upper pivot axle (15) in the upper longitudinal beam girder (8).
