The invention relates to a process for manufacturing crystallized and/or amorphous carbon products, comprising mixing a granular amorphous carbon material, such as anthracite, namely petroleum coke or carbon material resulting from other bitumen sources and different other ingredients, followed by a conditioning step by mixing at a characteristc pressure and by an extruding operation followed by pressing and annealing. According to the process, the volatile constituents are removed in the conditioning step in a proportion of up to 50 % and the pressure and annealing are performed in a single pressing- relaunching-annealing step which is performed at a constant or variable pressure of up to 100 MPa, by increasing the temperature up to 700 ... 1500 degree C.
