PURPOSE: An installation structure of a connecting band for preventing loss of a fuel cap is provided to stably install a fuel cap by making a connecting band for preventing loss of the fuel cap not twisted nor caught in the circumference of the fuel cap. CONSTITUTION: In an installation structure of a connecting band for preventing loss of a fuel cap(20), the ends of a long and flexible connecting band(40) are formed with extended. A first hook(41) connected to a retainer ring(25) of the fuel cap is protruded to a side of the connecting band. A second hook(42) connected on the inner surface of a filler door(15) is formed to the other side of the connecting band. The hooks are each fit into a connecting hole(26) of the retainer ring and a connecting hole(17) of the filler door. Therefore, a part of the connecting band is prevented from being caught in the installation surface of the fuel cap or twisting in the connecting band is prevented when putting the fuel cap on a fuel injection port(12).
