PURPOSE: A getter structure for a cathode ray tube is provided to prevent the remaining getter powder by forming a bead on an inner wall of a gettering and eliminating a space between a compressing punch and the inner wall of the gettering. CONSTITUTION: A getter structure is comprised of a gettering(100) for storing a getter material(101) and a getter spring that is coupled to an anode button to support the gettering(100). An end of the getter spring is coupled to a built-in graphite film provided on an inner surface of a funnel. The gettering(100) is a cylinder of 4.1mm height. An upper surface of the gettering(100) is opened, a bottom surface thereof is closed, and an extrusion(100a) is formed on a middle portion. A groove(100b) is formed between the extrusion(100a) and the inner wall of the gettering(100). In the groove(100b), the getter material(101) for chemically eliminating residual gas is stored. A bead(100c) is formed on a location higher than the extrusion(100a).
