A buffing machine (1) capable of adjusting a polishing force in a wide area ranging from a weak polishing force to a strong one and stabilizing the polishing force by efficiently using buffing material, wherein a stress transmitting member (3) is fixed to the axial front surface of a rotating member (2) (driving member), through-holes facilitating the adjustment of the polishing force on a buffed surface by a stress concentrating action are formed in the stress transmitting member (3), the buffing material (4) is detachably installed on the pressing surface of the stress transmitting member (3) through surface fasteners (F), the surface fasteners (F) being connected to each other by the entanglement of bristle material with villus material, and the bristle material being provided on the stress transmitting member (3) and villus material being provided generally on the entire rear surface of the buffing material (4).
