PURPOSE: A method of transmitting a message from a switching system is provided to make one system have more than 16 signal links with a neighboring signaling point, and to process a message by operating with one node in the other station, thereby increasing system traffic capacity. CONSTITUTION: When a message is transmitted(ST11), a message routing block decides whether the message is a TCAP(Transaction Capability) message or an ISUP(ISDN User Part) message(ST12). If the message is the TCAP message, the block performs a GT translation process(ST13). The block confirms whether a multi OSP(Own Signaling Point) function is applied to an OSP having the message(ST14). If not, the block confirms whether a corresponding DP is accessible(ST16). If so, the block calculates a signal link where the message has to be transmitted(ST17). The block transmits the message to other station through an ST(Signaling Terminal) connected to the signal link(ST19). If the DP is not accessible, the block abandons the message(ST18), and informs an upper user that the message is abandoned(ST20).
