<p>A machine house-less elevator, comprising a car (11) having an opening part (12) provided in the wall thereof, a sheave (15) for winding, thereon, a wire rope (18) having the car (11) and a counterweight (19) fixed to the different ends thereof, and a hoist (17) having a motor (14) for driving the sheave (15), wherein, when the car (11) is positioned at the top of a hoistway (10), the sheave (15) is installed between the car (11) and the wall of the hoistway, whereby the sheave (15) can be inspected from the inside of the car (11) through the opening part (12).</p> |
