Chiral substituted bisoxazoline compounds (I) grafted to silica-type supports used as heterogeneous catalysts in the presence of a transition metal salt precursor. Heterogeneous catalysts comprise a bisoxazoline base of formula (I). n = 1 or 2; R<1> and R<2> = H, phenyl, (1-8C alkylene)phenyl or 1-8C alkyl, or may together complete a 4-10C (preferably 5C) ring to which may be condensed a benzene ring or a bicycloheptane (optionally alkyl substituted); A = a group of formula (i)-(v); R<3> and R<4> = 1-3C alkyl, (1-3C alkyl)phenyl or H; X = CH or N; m = 0-3; P = polymerizable monomer, a polymer or a molecule capable of attachment to a solid surface.
