The invention concerns a method for verifying the security of files of a computerised device such as an electronic smart card, characterised in that it comprises the following steps which consists in: (a) comparing the access rights (ACL, 21, 22) associated with each file with predetermined access rights called reference rights; and (b) producing a message based on the result of the comparison. The invention is applicable to smart cards.
