PURPOSE: A skimmer paddle for preventing wear and outflow of molten steel is provided to improve productivity of slag off operation and actual yield of molten steel by discharging slag only from molten steel in a ladle, minimizing wear due to molten steel, and preventing outflow of molten steel during slag off. CONSTITUTION: In a skimmer peddle for removing slag(112) generated during manufacturing of molten steel from molten steel(110) in a ladle(100), the skimmer paddle for preventing wear and outflow of molten steel is characterized in that a center plate member(10) consisted of refractory bricks having a specific gravity that is less than that of molten steel(110), but greater than that of slag(112) is mounted on the front end of a skimmer arm(136) in such a way that the center plate member(10) is vertically ascended and descended so that the lower part of the center plate member(10) is positioned at the interface between molten steel(110) and slag(112) by buoyance of molten steel(110), and slag(112) in the upper part of molten steel(110) is scraped to the outside of the ladle(100) according to back and forth movements of the skimmer arm(136), wherein side plate members(30) are rotationally mounted on both sides of the center plate member(10) so that the side plate members(30) prevent outflow of molten steel(110) from a spout(104) of the ladle, wherein the side plate members(30) are capable of reducing width of the center plate member(10) by being folded from both sides of the center plate member(10).
