PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound absorption panel and a mounting structure thereof capable of ensuring good sound absorption property over a wide frequency band by having a comparatively simple constitution without increasing the thickness of the panel. SOLUTION: The sound absorption panel is made to open both sides thereof and, at the same time, includes a honeycomb core material 2 having the distribution of a predetermined unequal thickness and air permeable sheets 3 and 4 on both front and rear sides. For the mounting structure of the sound absorption panel 1 for mounting the sound absorption panel 1 on the mounted surface C, the sound absorption panel 1 includes the honeycomb core material 2 having the opened front and rear sides and the air permeable sheets 3 and 4 on both front and rear sides having air permeability respectively laminated on the front and rear sides thereof, and the sound absorption panel is mounted on the mounted surface C in a state to form an air space 6 having the distribution of the predetermined unequal thickness between the air permeable sheet 4 on the rear side and the mounted surface C.
