PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for luminance correction capable of minimizing or greatly reducing influence caused by using a point light source for illumination of an object. SOLUTION: This method 200 for correcting the luminance of an image obtained by picking up the image of an object lying on a plane is to correct the influence of image illumination with the point light source. The point light source is located on the plane and the image consists of pixels having respectively luminance values. The method 200 includes a step 202 for measuring luminance values of a plurality of pixels within the image, and a step 204 for minimizing an error value E 204 and finding structural parameters R and H of the light source where the error value is given with a mathematical expression. |
