PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device in which the power consumption is reduced by making a stationary current efficient or reducing the operating frequency and to provide a display driving circuit for the display device. SOLUTION: The display device is provided with a display memory 104 which stores display data, a histogram memory 106 which stores the number of times of gradation voltage for every line, a gradation voltage generating circuit 108 which generates plural gradation voltages bases on a reference voltage and varies the amount of current of a circuit that generates each of the plurality of gradation voltage in accordance with the number of times of the gradation voltage and a voltage selector section 102 which selects a gradation voltage to be applied to each of a plurality of pixel sections from the plurality of gradation voltages.
