PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance heat dissipation characteristics by sustaining a constant high air current velocity along the radial direction between the fins of a finned heat sink and lengthening the cooling channel in a small heat sink. SOLUTION: The finned heat sink comprises a heat sink 12, and a large number of fins 14 provided substantially radially thereon wherein the large number of fins 14 extend on an involute curve such that the cooling channel 16 between adjacent fins has a substantially similar traverse. |
