PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the electromagnetic shield performance with a simple constitution in a plasma display device. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a front surface filter 23 arranged at a front surface side of a panel and having an electromagnetic shield layer 25 and a front surface cabinet 21 holding a peripheral part of this front surface filter 23 by holding it with a pressing metal 28 and the cabinet between them, a conduction tape 26 connected electrically to the electromagnetic shield layer 25 is provided at a peripheral part of the front surface filter 23, the electromagnetic shield layer can be made double and the electromagnetic shield performance can be enhanced by holding a peripheral part of the front surface filter 23 with the front surface cabinet 21 and the pressing metal 28 between them through conductive sponges 29a, 29b.
